Sally Goodman is licensed to practice in all areas of the law by the Supreme Court of Texas, but her passion is in her role as a criminal justice lawyer. Sally discovered her enthusiasm for defense by exploring the full range of law practice in Texas. Her path towards a successful law practice started when she graduated from Stephens College with a B.A in Spanish. A path of study that has helped benefit hundreds of Spanish speaking clients that would struggle to be heard working with other law firms. She earned her law degree from the University of Texas School of Law in Austin and began working at the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office after passing the bar. Her time as a felony prosecutor opened her eyes to the state and federal court systems and helped her understand the methods used to build a case against a defendant. Most importantly, her time as a prosecutor strengthened her belief that everyone has the right to a great criminal defense.
Sally understands how scary the criminal justice system can be. When you navigate the system, your criminal defense attorney is the only person who is truly on your side throughout the entire process. That’s why it’s so important to hire an attorney who is dedicated, passionate, experienced, and who understands the ins and outs of the justice system and can answer any and all of the important questions you will have as someone who is arrested for committing a crime.
Her unwavering belief in citizen’s rights led her to pursue her own practice as criminal defense lawyer, obtaining her bar admission in the U.S District Court Northern District of Texas and her board certification in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Sally also achieved bar admission for the U.S. Court of Appeals 5th Circuit.
